Vegetable oils are typically referred to as carrier oils within the field of holistic aromatherapy. Whether you call them carrier oils or vegetable oils, they play a crucial role within the topical applications of aromatherapy. These precious oils help dilute essential oils so that they can be applied to the skin with less risk of sensitization.

I've seen a number of people give carrier oils minimal attention or study, but carrier oils play a valuable role in nourishing the skin and hair. Carrier oils differ from one another, and some carrier oils are better suited for different purposes than others.

Liquid Sunshine is one of the very few books dedicated to providing detailed information about the vegetable/carrier oils used in aromatherapy and natural skin care. It helps shed light about the composition of vegetable oils, and the importance of fatty acids. Liquid Sunshine includes botanical info and profiles of 50 carrier oils. Most of the profiles include the typical fatty acid composition for the oil.

Liquid Sunshine appears to be out-of-print, and is presently only available through Amazon third-party sellers.
