Peanut Oil should not be used by anyone that has an allergy to peanuts. Avoid coming into contact with anyone that has an allergy to peanuts. Because of its oiliness, it is said to be a good choice for inclusion in massage blends. It has been said that it is a good oil to use for those with arthritis.
Carrier Oils for Aromatherapy & Massage by Len Price mentions that Peanut Oil contains approximately 17% saturated fat, 50% oleic acid (an omega-9 fatty acid), 25% linoleic acid (an omega-6 essential fatty acid), and less than 1% alpha linolenic acid (an omega-3 essential fatty acid).
