Aromatically, Neroli Hydrosol is uplifting and is often considered a favorite. I personally find it to be one of the most aromatically appealing of all hydrosols. It possesses a beautiful, sweet citrus and floral aroma that children, men and women tend to love. Even if you find Neroli Essential Oil to be too intense, even when significantly diluted, there is still a good chance that you will like Neroli Hydrosol.

I personally find Neroli Hydrosol to be a wonderfully balancing for both the skin and the emotions. It is a versatile hydrosol that I love to use in water-soluble recipes and formulations such as room and body sprays, colognes, and as a wetting agent for clay facials.

Reported Properties, Uses and Applications

Suzanne Catty reports that Neroli Hydrosol is mildly sedating but doesn't cause drowsiness. She mentions that it might help those working on combating addictive behaviors. Neroli Hydrosol has a remarkable reputation for use with all skin types and for those with aging and delicate skin. Catty, however, advises against its use with those that have very dry skin. It is a good choice for use babies and children and she reports that it might have use with those that have ADHD. Len and Shirley Price report that Neroli Hydrosol possesses the following properties: "antibacterial, antidepressive, antispasmodic, calming, carminative, digestive, nerve tonic."
