  • Make sure that your hands are clean and dry when touching the components of the roll-on bottle.
  • If necessary, remove the top from the empty roll-on bottle and place the components of the roll-on bottle on a clean surface.
  • Begin by adding the essential oils to your clean 10ml roll-on bottle. Carefully add the number of drops specified for each essential oil.
  • Fill the rest of the bottle with Fractionated Coconut Oil or your chosen carrier oil.
  • Add the roller assembly to the bottle and then add the cap.
  • Make sure that all components are securely in place and that the cap has been screwed up well.
  • Gently shake the bottle to mix the essential oils into the Fractionated Coconut Oil.
  • Label the bottle and add the date that you made the roll-on recipe so that you can keep track of the shelf-life. Also label the bottle with the ingredients or keep a notebook that includes the ingredients.
  • Although the roll-on may be used immediately, it's best to set your roll-on aside for at least 1-2 days before use so that all of the essential oils have time to thoroughly and evenly blend into the Fractionated Coconut Oil.

Important Tips and Comments

  • Everyone is different, and this Root Chakra Essential Oil Roll-on Blend recipe may not work for you, or it may not work as well for you as it does for me. However, this recipe can be a great starting point in your quest to create your own root chakra blend that works best for you.
  • Never fill a roll-on bottle with just essential oil. Essential oils should always be properly diluted before application to the skin.
  • This recipe calls for the use of Fractionated Coconut Oil as the carrier oil because Fractionated Coconut Oil is a clear, lightweight, non-greasy oil that has a long shelf life. If you prefer, you can substitute the Fractionated Coconut Oil with a different carrier oil.
  • If you are used to using aromatic products from companies that make their fragrances super strong, you could possibly find that this rollerball recipe may smell weak to you at first. Avoid adding more essential oil to make the aroma stronger. If the blend does seem aromatically weak to you, read AromaWeb's Guide to Safely Diluted Essential Oil Blends May Smell Weak At First.
  • The photo depicts essential oils and carrier oils that are not labeled for retail sale. Because AromaWeb is a brand-neutral website, unbranded bottles are depicted. AromaWeb never recommends purchasing essential oils or carrier oils that are not fully labeled with complete information.

How To Use the Root Chakra Essential Oil Roll-on

  • To use the Root Chakra Essential Oil Roll-on, remove the cap and glide the rollerball in a clockwise direction if possible. The best locations for application are over the center of your lower back (near the base of your spine), the inside of your wrists, your temples (make sure the blend does not get in your eyes) and/or on the pulse points of your neck. Avoid cuts, wounds, sores or damaged skin. Do not apply the blend to the genital or anus regions.
  • To effectively assist you in supporting your root chakra, it's best that apply the blend to exposed areas of your body so that you can smell and inhale the aromatic molecules so that they enter your lungs (which in turn will lead to your bloodstream) faster.
  • Reapply as necessary, but do not apply excessively.
  • Discontinue use immediately if you experience any skin irritation or difficulties from usage.
  • Follow the below precautions and the safety tips shown on this page.

Precautions

  • This recipe is only intended for use by non-pregnant adults who are otherwise healthy.
  • Although this blend is formulated so that it can be lightly rolled onto your temples, this blend is not intended to be used elsewhere on the face, near your eyes, near your mouth or near other orifices. Do not apply the roll-on to the genital or anus regions. Do not apply the blend to damaged skin, cuts, wounds or other problem areas.

Shelf Life

  • Use Within 3-6 Months. Although the individual ingredients used in this recipe have a longer shelf life, the roll-on comes into contact with your skin which allows oil and debris to get into the blend. The dirt and debris will shorten the shelf life.
  • For the freshest and most sanitary product, therefore, it's best to use it up and make a fresh roll-on bottle within 3-6 months.
