Frankincense and Myrrh Diffuser Blend
Shown here are frankincense tears (light color) and myrrh resin (dark) in a bowl hand carved from juniper.
This Frankincense and Myrrh blend has a warm, rich, resinous aroma. The below directions are intended to create blend for use in the diffuser, but it is also lovely to use with potpourri. It is also a wonderful blend to use for the Scented Greeting Card & Tissue Paper recipe. Frankincense and Myrrh oils can be a bit heavy on their own (especially the Myrrh), so Cedarwood and Orange are included to help sweeten and round out the aroma a bit.
Ingredients
- 5 drops Frankincense Essential Oil
- 5 drops Myrrh Essential Oil
- 5 drops Cedarwood Essential Oil (optional - to lighten the aroma a bit)
- 5-10 drops Orange Essential Oil (optional - to add a sweet, fruity aroma to the blend)
Directions
Add your oils to a 2 ml dark colored glass bottle and mix well by rolling the bottle in between your hands. If you would like to make a larger quantity, multiply the recipe above and add to a larger bottle.
To Use
Add the appropriate number of drops from your created blend to your diffuser by following the manufacturers instructions. This recipe is not intended for topical use.
