Silver Fir Essential Oil
Abies alba
Description
Silver Fir Essential Oil is also commonly known as Fir Needle Essential Oil and White Fir Essential Oil.
Silver Fir Essential Oil is steam distilled from the needles of the Silver Fir, Abies alba, a tall, majestic evergreen that is indigenous to Europe.
Silver Fir Essential Oil is abundant in monoterpenes and can be very helpful in supporting respiratory health. It's a good choice to include in blends intended for bronchitis, colds and the flu.
Emotionally, Silver Fir Essential Oil is a wonderfully energizing essential oil that can be helpful if you have fatigue. It may also be helpful in instances of anxiety or depressed spirits (see uses section below).
Aromatically, Silver Fir Essential Oil is a middle note that blends especially well with essential oils in the conifer, wood, citrus, mint, and herbaceous families. It possesses a fresh, woody, sweet, "forest" aroma.
It's a beautiful essential oil to use around the Christmas and winter holidays. However, it's a highly beneficial essential oil that shouldn't be merely limited to holiday themed aromatic applications.
