Topical Anti-Inflammatory Essential Oils

Within the field of holistic aromatherapy, Helichrysum, German Chamomile and English Chamomile are highly regarded (more so than Lavender) for their anti-inflammatory action. Because of Lavender's popularity, availability and lower price (generally speaking) in comparison with Helichrysum and the Chamomiles, I was interested in seeing how many visitors selected Lavender in comparison with the others. Due to the limitations of the polling software, I unfortunately was not able to confirm why each voter chose the oil he/she did. Below are the results.

Note: This is an unscientific poll, and AromaWeb visitors are comprised of those at many different stages of aromatherapy and olfactory knowledge.

Of the Essential Oils Listed, Which Do You Reach for Most as a Topical Anti-Inflammatory:

German Chamomile 12% 109
Helichrysum italicum 13% 121
Lavender 68% 617
Roman Chamomile 6% 58

Total Number of Respondents: 905
