Essential Oils and Hydrosols
In 375 Essential Oils and Hydrosols,
Jeanne Rose supplies brief monographs (summaries) of many essential
oils, hydrosols and other naturals used in aromatherapy. Although
I haven't counted to ensure the "375" figure is correct,
this 245-page book is indeed a useful reference for locating summary
information on numerous oils. The essays and information on such
topics as botanical names (and how they are derived) add to the
interest of this book. Don't, however, rely on this book to be a
complete reference book on specific essential oil details or aromatherapy
information. For more detailed information on 160 essential oils
including color photos, Julia Lawless' work The
Illustrated Encyclopedia of Essential Oils is a winner.
