Essential Oil Facial Toner

Ingredients
- 1 fl. oz. High Proof Vodka
- 2.5 fl. oz. Witch Hazel Hydrosol
- 8 drops Grapefruit Oil
- 4 drops Tea Tree Oil
- 4 drops Cypress Oil
Directions
Add all ingredients to a 4 oz. bottle and shake to mix all ingredients. This recipe calls for 3.5 fl. oz. of toner to allow a little added room to properly shake the toner between uses.
To Use
Shake the toner well before each use to disperse the essential oils and then apply to your face using a cotton ball.
Substitutions and Ideas
The vodka helps to keep the oils emulsified, but it can be left out, if desired (increase the Witch Hazel Hydrosol to 2.5 fl.oz. if leaving out the vodka).
The Witch Hazel that you buy in drugstores is not the same as Witch Hazel Hydrosol. Drugstore variety Witch Hazel contains about 14% alcohol. It can be used instead of Witch Hazel Hydrosol. When using common drugstore brands of Witch Hazel containing alcohol, be sure to leave out the vodka or your facial toner may become too drying.
Be sure not to exceed 20 drops within this recipe if you decide to experiment and use other skin-safe essential oils in place of the above essential oils.
