Beeswax Absolute is a unique entry in AromaWeb's Essential Oil Profile Directory because it is the only aromatic ingredient that is animal based.
Beeswax Absolute is primarily used in perfumery and fragrancing. Though there is little documentation for this harder-to-find oil, I see its potential as being a gently soothing and calming addition to aromatherapy blends intended for emotional well-being.
Beeswax Absolute can vary in consistency and aroma. The aroma is typically intensely honey-like. Depending on the source of the beeswax, the aroma can also possess a beautifully intoxicating floral quality. Some sources say that beeswax absolute can also have notes of hay, and I agree.
