Within its generous but easy-to-read 368-pages, Therapeutic Blending With Essential Oil thoroughly covers the topic of therapeutic blending. Although I wasn't able to read the book from start to finish prior to adding this book description, Therapeutic Blending With Essential Oil has already taught me a number of helpful tips and insights that I hadn't considered.

The Essential Oil Directory contains 122 profiles (counted quickly, I may be off by a couple). These profiles are very brief. As Rebecca Park Totilo recommends elsewhere in the book, it is a good idea to refer to at least two essential oil resources when researching an essential oil's properties and suitability for a given application.

Therapeutic Blending With Essential Oil is enriched with many helpful charts and lists of the constituents, properties and applications of the essential oils.

If a second edition is ever published, I would love to see some of the chart information also be incorporated directly into the essential oil profiles. For instance the profiles don't list the botanical name for each essential oil, but there is a separate chart with the botanical names. It would be wonderful to have that information available to readers in both places in a next edition.

Therapeutic Blending With Essential Oil contains an immense amount of helpful background blending information, tips and reference charts. It is written in a format that is practical for beginners to professionals.
