Lemon Verbena HydrosolLemon Verbena Hydrosol is less "lemony" and a bit less tangy than either Lemongrass Hydrosol or Melissa Hydrosol. It has a pleasant aroma that is both citrusy and slightly green and floral. Botanical Name: Lippia citrodora/Aloysia triphylla Aromatic Strength: Medium Shelf Life: Up to 2 years if stored properly (refrigeration is recommended). Reported Properties, Uses and Applications: Suzanne Catty refers to Lemon Verbena Hydrosol as sedating and "a powerful mental relaxant and stress buster." Emotionally, she suggests its use for building confidence. She reports that Lemon Verbena Hydrosol is a strong anti-inflammatory, and recommends its use as a mouthwash. Topically, she states that it is useful for normal and combination skin.
