Wendy Robbins of AromaWeb with Jennifer Pressimone, Author of JennScents® Holisitic Aromatherapy Comprehensive Guide

Jennifer is a fun, charismatic, gentle, loving soul, and that is apparent in her writing style and the information that she shares. Through this invaluable guide and through Jennifer's other pursuits that include serving as Vice President of the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy, it's clear that Jennifer genuinely cares about sharing and teaching objective, helpful information about holistic aromatherapy.

I love how Jennifer uses the adjective comprehensive within her book title instead of the word complete. Her book is indeed comprehensive and extensive in the content it covers. There is a lot of accuracy and integrity associated with her careful choice in book titles. Although there are several books that I hold in high esteem and refer to frequently that utilize the word complete within their book titles, I have a pet peeve with books defining themselves as complete. No singular author, company or educational institution can provide complete information about essential oils or aromatherapy. It's just not realistic.

Jennifer provides detailed profiles for over 100 essential oils and absolutes that makes a wonderful ongoing reference. Each profile averages 1 page in length and covers the following information:

  • Scent Description
  • Perfumery Note
  • Extraction Method
  • Botanical Parts Used
  • Plant Description
  • Properties
  • Chemistry
  • Main Body Systems
  • Physical Applications
  • Mental Applications
  • Emotional Applications
  • Chakras
  • History
  • Personal Experience
  • Contraindications

About the Author

Jennifer Pressimone is a holistic aromatherapist, herbalist, author, international educator and Teaching Diplomate of Spiritual PhytoEssencing. She owns JennScents, Inc. and JennScents Institute. Jenn Scents, Inc. is a holistic aromatherapy business, creating therapeutic products to meet client needs. The JennScents Institute offers a holistic aromatherapy certification program, NAHA Leve I & II and NCBTMB approved.

Jennifer was first introduced to holistic health in the late 1990's during her battle with Crohn's, colitis and IBS. She integrated herbal and aromatic remedies with conventional medicine to facilitate in her recovery from the devastation her body and mind endured. She first learned about the importance of probiotics and enzymes, and the power of essential oils. The very first essential oil she smelled was Roman Chamomile. How fitting, as chamomile is a caretaker, nurturer and incredible anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic oil. Her friend, Wendimere Reilly invited her to a tea n' chat event where she shared the benefits of chamomile, and made up a roll-on for Jennifer to try for her intestinal spasms and frail body. Guess what, Jennifer tried the roll-on that night and had results in just 10 minutes. Her intestinal cramps subsided, her mind calmed down and she could breathe, tension free for the first time in years. Needless to say, she was hooked on aromatherapy ever since.

Jennifer now considers herself to be an Aromatherapy Evangelist, meaning she is an enthusiastic advocate for promoting and empowering others with authentic aromatherapy wisdom to inspire physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. She is dedicated to bringing greater awareness to the use and benefits of true aromatherapy, helping people and pets achieve emotional and physical well-being, holistically. Through her institute and research, she pledges to make significant contributions to the world of aromatherapy and empower others to help themselves. Jennifer is passionate about her family, pets, friends, aromatherapy and spending time in nature.

Jennifer is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Teacher Diplomate in Spiritual PhytoEssencing (deep emotional healing) from Dr. Bruce Berkowsky. She is a professional member, Regional Director and Vice President with NAHA, the National Association of Holistic Aromatherapy.
