Bay Rum Recipe

Aromathrapy Bay Rum RecipeBay Rum is a classic, masculine fragrance that originated in the Caribbean. I'm not an expert on the array of Bay Rum fragranced products that are currently available, but I believe that a number of them nowadays are synthetically fragranced. Traditional Bay Rum products were made by infusing fresh or dried bay leaves and berries in rum as a part of the formulation.

This recipe is intended to be much simpler. Having said that, Allspice and Clove essential oils, two of the oils in this basic and easy recipe, are skin irritants/sensitizers, and I suspect that Bay can be as well. For that reason, this blend is not intended for topical (skin) application. Instead, enjoy this masculine blend in your diffuser, or create a wonderful room mist

Ingredients:

Directions for Diffuser Blend:
Combine the oils together and store in an amber or cobalt glass bottle. Use this blend in your aromatherapy diffuser.

Directions for Air Freshener/Room Mist:
Use the above essential oils to make AromaWeb's Air Freshener Recipe. For the recipe, try 16 drops Bay Essential Oil, 8 drops Orange Essential Oil, 4 drops Clove Essential Oil, and 4 drops Allspice Essential Oil.

Disclaimer: Do not use this blend on your skin. It is meant only for diffusion and room fragrancing applications.
